Hi, I'm Ben Millard. Firstly can I thank you for visiting the website and I hope you find what you are looking for right here.
Sandfields Farm Fresh was set up in 2009 by me with help from my parents. The idea being to use the family farm to produce high quality free range produce with complete traceability sold directy to the consumer, understanding that consumers would like to know exactly where their food comes from, how it has been produced and by whom.
In February 2009 we converted one of the barns (demolished by the snow) into a cold room and cutting room. These facilities are fully registered and controlled by the WODC environmental health and is where the meat handling takes place.
Over on the farm, buildings are used to rear chickens from day old untill they are ready go outside, range free and have the most natural life as possible. Other barns are used for the winter housing of the sheep and dexter cattle, for lambing and calving.
We also have Gloucester Old Spot pigs. This small enterprise is slowing growing. We have six pigs currently and a gilt which will hopefully farrow in the spring.
